Here’s the info for our general meetings for the Fall 2011 Semester:

What: Meeting in which we discuss upcoming events // have guest speakers // discuss competitions // reflect on past trips and plan new ones

Where: room 711T {in the trailers behind the bookstore}

When: every other Monday from 3-4pm {check the event calendar for exact dates}

Who: architecture lovers {this means you don’t have to be an architecture major, if you’re interested in tours to architectural buildings such as the Getty, the Disney concert hall, museums, or etc, join up with us}. We also invite the interior design crew, the engineers, and any related majors to join us.

First meeting of Fall 2011

We just had our first meeting of this semester and during this meeting we have chosen our new officers!
This semester we wanted to try something new and we added a few positions in order to spread out the work and in order to give the opportunity to more people to be involved.

We are open to new ideas of positions or volunteers who want to help the official officers in things such as event planning, participating in club rush, finding cool building we could visit, and etc. :]

Congratulations to all the new officers, I look forward to see you reach your potential and see you grow with connections, experience, adventures, and in friendships. :]

Hello new peeps and returning buddies!
Let’s kick butt this semester with more competitions, field trips, socials, and knowledge!

We need all the devoted / passionate people we can get. This semester we have alot of old officers transferring schools and therefore we need people to step up and keep this club going strong. If you are interested in helping, and participating, contact me at lorinastan@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to explain to you the positions in the club! :]

Our first meeting is coming up soon, it will be on a Monday at 3pm {we’ll update you on the date as soon as it’s set}.

Banquet

The ASEA Banquet is coming up May 15th {in the evening} so we need to get a headcount of how many people are coming so we can get the tickets!! The tickets are $26 each and you can pay at the door {bring EXACT change}.

What we do at the banquet:
~ Celebrate this year will all the other schools and ASEA members
~ Represent our school
~ Receive Rewards & Support those receiving them
{our VP Carmelle is one of the scholarship finalists woot woot and T.J. and Joseph are the egg toss winners, and T.J. and Lori have won 3rd place in the Toothpick competition}

Most likely this will be at a restaurant in China town {I’ll get back to you with the details after this Sunday’s ASEA meeting}

Woodbury Trip Postponed!

Hi guys, as some of you may know we planned to visit Woodbury {Burbank} this Friday but because of a event they have we have to postpone it. It might be another Friday of this month or it might be pushed to next semester since we have finals coming up.

Getty Museum TOMORROW!!!

Tomorrow is our trip to the Getty Museum. We are leaving at 9 from the parking structure.

KinderCaminata is March 25th. We are currently in the process of building the castle. If you want to help build, or participate on the 25th please email me: tajhowells@gmail.com

Next trip: GETTY MUSEUM, April 2nd.
Next Meeting: March 28 at 3:00 in room 722-A.
(During the meeting we will start by playing a fun game!!!, then discuss KinderCaminata, ASEA (sandcastle and Maryvale project, meet new club members, and there will be snacks!!!!)

Kinder Caminada

Kinder Caminada is a event we have @ our school every year where about 1,600 kindergarden students come to learn about different careers. There will be tours in classrooms and games and more displays in the quad.

Last year our group made a castle out of cardboard boxes, had a ‘draw your dream house’ section, and a ‘make details’ section {where we had the kids make flags and put them on the castle.

This year we need:
~ A building {castle or house or anything} that the kids can observe and go into
~ one that will survive the rain
~ one that can be taken apart & put back together easily
~ another 2 sections as we did before ‘Draw your Dream house’ and ‘Details’ {they both have to be designed}
~ we can also do a maze again

What are your ideas, concerns, questions, etc?

Thanks to those few who went to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. We had a great time, there are a few picture on our facebook page taken by me (T.J.) I know I’m no photographer. Anyway, next up on the calendar is the Fullerton Walking Tour on March 5th.

Next Meeting is Feb 28th at 3:00. Please make it. We will be voting on shirt designs then, if you have a design please bring it.

Officers: Plan to have a meeting prior to the 28th. I will contact you to set a date soon.
